FAQ'S - Our Most Frequently Asked Questions from Our Customers

Q: What does R Value mean?

A: R Value is a rating showing the effectiveness of a product to thermal heat transfer. The higher the R Value, the more resistance to heat.

Q: My AC guy said the insulation is low, how much do I need?

A:  We love HVAC technicians, they are often the first set of eyes for us. Most of Florida requires a minimum value of R30, but we should first determine how much insulation you currently have.

Q: Can you add new insulation on top of my old insulation?

A: Yes, as long as the old insulation is in good condition and free of contamination from moisture or rodents. We can combine both insulation to bring your home to the building code.

Q: How long will it take to insulate my entire house?

A: It’s hot so we use a fast machine. Most jobs can be completed in just 1-3 hours.

Q: What type of insulation do you use?

A: We mostly apply loose-fill fiberglass insulation, but can also apply batt insulation or green fiber at request.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: Cost is based on the size of your project, the material used, and R Value installed.

Q: How fast can you come to my house?

A: We love to work quickly and professionally. Most jobs can be scheduled in just  1-7 days.
